Yesterday I had to put my beloved dog down. Anyone who has had to do this knows just how tough it is. Dr. Watkins and his staff were super compassionate and empathetic and made the process as smooth as it could be. I'm sure he's done this many times, but you could feel his sadness. We've been going to this father and daughter team for half a dozen years and I would never go anywhere else. They are not pushy, they love animals, their team is amazing, and they know what they are doing. Yesterday afternoon I received flowers. I immediately teared up when I saw who sent them....Dr. Watkins and his team.

Great staff, attractive and clean facility. The vet figured out exactly what had happened to my dog (she had a cracked and infected dewclaw), unlike the urgent care vet we'd seen a week earlier. I'm planning to become a regular client of the Animal Health Center.

We relocated to Sarasota from Ohio where we had been with the same hometown Veterinarian clinic for over 50 years, when I visited this Veterinarian yesterday, I right away felt like I had been coming here for years the staff was very welcoming and Dr. David Watkins was so kind and gentle with little Willow, I am sure his Daughter will be the same. Never thought I could find a Veterinarian to compare with our’s up north but we have! Thank you Dr. Watkins and your staff.

We feel very fortunate to have received such good and responsive care for our elderly dog. Having to leave you pet at the curb and wait for an exam while sitting in a car is stressful, especially for our dog who hates to be separated from us. Dr. Morgan Watkins examined him immediately and came out to speak with us in a short period of time. We have waited much longer at our regular vet back home up north. Dr. Watkins provided us with a lot of helpful information and her advice on treatment was spot on. So far, it is working well. We have been trying to address this chronic problem for months up north with our vet there and even delayed our travel to FL by a month and a half due to this, without much success. He is so much better now after less than a week on the treatment recommended by Dr. Watkins. We couldn't be more pleased. We have utilized her services last year and were very happy with her professionalism and good advice. We returned to her this year without hesitation and are very glad we did so. Finally, our boy is on the mend. We are most grateful for her care and the care of her staff.

Dr. Morgan Watkins is nice and professional. She seems to genuinely care about my dog. The staff is also kind and professional. Visits never seem rushed or hurried in order to see the next patient. This is much appreciated. Plus cats lounging around in baskets all day is pretty adorable. I highly recommend.

Dr. Watkins has been caring for my corgis since they were newborns. Unfortunately my little guy Dane passed away at about age 7 but my little girl Iris is still thriving. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the doctors are always very helpful even for small things. I highly recommend this veterinarian.

So happy that we were recommended Drs Watkins & Watkins. From the very first phone call, they made us comfortable and assured that our dog was going to receive the best care. Tiffany was awesome scheduling the appointments around our busy schedule and fitting us in for an emergency appointment. Dr Watkins was kind, knowledgeable and caring. He called us the next day after the emergency appointment to make sure that our dog was doing well. Excellent customer service, outstanding care and fair prices. Dr Watkins is pretty conservative in his treatment approach. He ordered the needed tests to make a clinical decision but did not go to the extreme-no unnecessary labs/tests and he did not rush into surgery. Dr David Watkins introduced us to his daughter, Dr Morgan Watkins, who was also very sweet and stopped by to say hi to our pup. It's comforting to know that both doctors are on the same page when it comes to treatment and they try to get to know every patient ...We cannot thank you enough for taking such good care of Maxie!

Even AVA our chihiahua loves Doctor Dave! We saw 3 other Vets before finding DR. Watkins. The office is well run - appointments are always on time. The staff is friendly, warm and caring. Dr. Watkins is gentle with our little 4 pound girl and thorough in his exams. We even felt comfortable during the Covid curbside process... although we are extremely happy that's over. They believe in having the owners in the room while doing procedures - we value that transparency. Neither Ava or I get anxious about a Vet visit anymore. 5 stars all the way around!
