Best vet ever! Dr. Hamilton and her staff are incredibly thorough and worked so hard to make sure my dog is comfortable and non-stressed by the visit. They give toys to the dog so she can calm down when she comes in and then they spend a lot of time petting her and staying low to the ground so they don’t scare her. Medically, they are top notch!

Luna has a had tumor in-between her toes of the back of her paw and other medical options were stating that she would have to loose her her paw in order to remove it. DR. HAMILTON was able to remove it ans we only lost a toe. My English bulldog is 12years old so it was a very difficult to figure out what to do for her as owner, now this old lady artritis and allergies to worry about. For sure happy with the experiences and Luna likes it as well.

Dr. Hamilton, Donna, Heather, Betty and the whole crew are truly fantastic. They discuss all aspects of care with you directly and help you make the best healthcare decisions for your pets. We are so lucky to have them in Sarasota. The team has helped me thru a few hard days and happy days alike. I would be lost without them. Thank you!!

I took my beloved Maltese, Stewy, to Dr. Josie Hamilton at Burns Court Animal Clinic for a second opinion regarding his severe allergies. She conducted multiple treatments, including laser therapy for his swollen paws and a heart CT scan, as she claimed to have heard a murmur but assured me his heart was strong.

Stewy underwent weekly treatments that took hours at her office. Over time, I noticed he was losing weight, but I initially attributed it to his allergies. However, after one of these treatments, I became deeply concerned about his condition and asked Dr. Hamilton to examine him. Shockingly, she told me she didn’t have time and instructed me to bring him back the following week.

Feeling uneasy, I took Stewy to Dr. Brodie at Huber’s Animal Hospital, where an X-ray revealed he had congenital heart disease. Despite immediate efforts to save him, it was too late—Stewy had lost four pounds, nearly half his body weight, and his little body couldn’t fight anymore.

I am devastated and angry. Dr. Hamilton failed to recognize his drastic weight loss and misdiagnosed his condition, costing my dog precious time and, ultimately, his life. I strongly believe that had she done her due diligence, Stewy might still be here today.

I am sharing my experience to warn other pet owners. If you love your animal, please think twice before entrusting them to this clinic.

Such a great experience!!! Dr. Hamilton, the front desk, and the vet tech were the sweetest. My dog is so afraid of going to the vet. They had toys, treats and a lick mat to help her. When we came in we were able to go right into the room and we didn’t have to wait. Dr. Hamilton took her time with Butters, and explained everything to me. You can tell everyone there truly loves animals and will do anything to help make the experience better. So relieved that we have found our forever vets office!

Burns Court Veterinary Care is without a doubt the best Veterinary practice I have ever been to! For my new patient appointment I was handed a folder that contained very valuable information about what the practice offers, suncoast pet magazine, a bunch of discounts for various pet related services and items. As well as pet disaster preparedness information, list of nearby animal, hospitals, even a body conditioning score chart. Stuff that I do find valuable for the long-term health of your pet. During the appointment Dr. Hamilton has the best bedside manner! Did not make me feel rushed at all. Went into pretty detailed conversations regarding my dogs health, daily activities, food, everything! She asked questions that 3 other pet practices have never even bothered to. The biggest thing she is so friendly and you truly sense that she cares for your dog. Daisy, my Staffordshire terrier mix was having separation anxiety problems. After a very in-depth conversation, Daisy no longer suffers from separation anxiety with the tools and advice she provided. I cannot thank this practice enough. I really think they are the best in Sarasota. They even offer a “Send a Friend” referral program. I will definitely be recommending Burns Court Veterinary Care to all friends and family!
Thank you!

Dr Hamilton and staff are amazing. My pups have never been so relaxed and calm at a vet. The true care making it a pleasant experience for the pups was a 10 plus. This should be your vet practice of choice. Layla and Stella love it there.
