A Dignified Farewell for Our Beloved Bruce (7/12/2016 - 2/10/2025)

Our dear Bruce, an 8-year-and-7-month-old Golden Retriever, passed away suddenly in Orlando, FL, due to a ruptured hemangiosarcoma. It all happened so quickly, catching us off guard and leaving us heartbroken.

We decided to lay him to rest at Companions Memorial Pet Cemetery (7777 Bayshore Rd #9756, Palmetto, FL), and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. This cemetery is beautifully maintained with care and respect, offering a peaceful and comforting space for those saying goodbye to their beloved pets.

We are incredibly grateful to the owners, especially Larry and his wife, who were so kind and supportive during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Their warmth and compassion made all the difference, and knowing that Bruce will rest in such a special place brings us some comfort.

Now, we have a beautiful and serene place to visit him and pay our respects. Thank you for creating such an important space for those who love their pets like family.

We are so thankful for Companions Memorial Pet Cemetary. My Mom is 82 years old and one of her pups died yesterday. We called Honor Thy Pet Funeral Services and every person from this company was so helpful and kind. The young man that arrived at her house to pick up Buddie was so kind and very professional. He took special care with Buddie and explained the next steps that would be taken. They scheduled the funeral and burial for the next day. When we arrived, Sean, the owner, was so compassionate, kind and very professional. Everything my Mom gave them the day before to put in the casket with Buddie was there. Everything was perfect, along with a long stem red rose laying across him. He looked so sweet the way they had placed him gently into the casket with his arms around his stuffed animals like he was peacefully sleeping. They allowed plenty of time for visitation and final farewell. That meant a lot to my Mom as she really needed this time with her baby Buddie. We then went outside to the gravesite where it was prepared with chairs and an awning over the grave. After the burial, they placed a marker and flowers on the grave, then left us to place our own flowers. They also provide the ceramic plaque or tombstone, which my Mom will choose soon. I really can’t express how much we appreciate the special care they showed and all the little details that made my Mom feel like they were taking very good care of her little Buddie. Thank you so much for making this very sad day a little bit easier for my Mom.

I had to put down my dog on May 31. When the vet’s office asked me if I wanted his paw print, I said yes, figuring that it would simply be his paw print stamped on a piece of paper with ink....

When I went to pick up the package today, I was absolutely blown away. His paw print is absolutely PERFECTLY indented in little cement circle, with his name engraved on the bottom. It can fit nicely inside of a plaque holder or shadow box and be displayed.

I can tell that this company really took their time with laying everything out!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all sooooo very much for this little piece of him!

I would recommend this company, 100%, when it comes to handling the remains of a pet!

I've used them for private cremation. All the things the Vet charges for, but a lot less money. They are one of the Cremation Companies that area Vets send our animals to. Call for info.
I've also attended a complete Funeral Service there for a friend's pet. This place is worthy of a walk around to see the lovely Tomb Stones and other remembrances of loved pets.

Did a burial here for our cat today. Owners and workers were amazing and super easy to get in contact with. I highly recommend this place for cremation or burial service for your loved ones that have passed on to the rainbow bridge.

Such a lovely place! I had to put my sweetheart down a year ago and had the opportunity to have her ashes spread in the butterfly garden. Thank you for this service, it’s a true God send. ❤️‍🩹

Putting my dog to rest was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but somehow the team at Companions Memorial in Rubonia made the whole experience bearable and they brought such compassion and ease to the funeral day that I don’t feel like I could have done all this without the miracle of this place and the staffs warm hearts. The viewing area they set up for Pirate was beautiful and Sean and Larry were gracious hosts that made my friends and I feel welcome in the ceremony house and at the gravesite tent. I did a non cremation burial I visit Pirates grave a lot and always welcome to come and go on the property as I need to, with plenty of space and time to grieve. There is no better place that I know of for this service and I wish all the best to anyone reading this who is enduring the loss of their special pet.

We only had our pet for a short 4 months before losing her. We rescued her from euthanasia and a terrible life. We gave her the best home we could and Companions Memorial Pet Cemetery gave her the honorable passing. Thank you so much for the certificate and the Rainbow Bridge postcard. That was most thoughtful and kind!
