My 10 month old Mini Aussie became leash reactive towards anything that moved. Dawn spent time to figure out what was the cause and worked with us to help him become more confident. She also gave me strategies to work on at home. After her lessons she reviewed what was done in training and gave me handouts to take home I could refer to. I found that quite helpful. She has a very calm nature, is extremely knowledgeable, and highly trained. He has come a long way in a very short time and he just loves her! She truly cares, loves dogs, and has such a way with them. A true dog whisperer.

I met Dawn at the Humane Society Of Sarasota , she was smiling , friendly and approachable ! I love learning about dog behavior . I was working with my " project dog .. Fred " I needed help ! He was a leash grabbing super star , and loved to nip my calf . He was my biggest challenge , because of Dawn and her training skills we together saved Fred ! She showed me how to get him out of the kennel ( we learned the " go find it " game , using a clicker ). It gave me time to build trust , and a relationship with him without stressing him ( see normally getting him out of his kennel he would immediately start leash grabbing and nipping ). Many others tried ..many many techniques , from yelling , to using air noise ... It only heightened his arousal and desensitized him . I soon learned his only chance was with the help of Dawn. She showed me the touch game , the focus game, " look at me " , place , recall , and to catch him before his outburst of leash grabbing , and if my timing was off and he was in went crazy ! ) his collar , dropped his leash and waited ... Seemed like forever ! But he calmed down and off we went . See you could not walk him without him going crazy on that leash ... But I did !! Dawn has also helped me with my dog Jack , ever since he was a puppy ! He is now 4 years old and is a well balanced well trained dog thanks to Dawn ! She is always giving me advice , and helping me no matter what !! Dawn is a balanced trainner with all of the skill set you can ask for ! I highly recommend Dawn. !! if you have a puppy , a dog with issues , or just want a well trained dog Dawn is the one !!
