The service they provided to my dog was very professional and not stressful for my pet. I really liked this place, especially after the renovations and expansion of the clinic. The only reason I do not give them five stars is that when I asked for an estimate for all the services I wanted for my dog, the lady gave me an amount of $191.00. I agreed to go ahead; however, when it was time to check out, I ended up paying $299.00. When I asked why it was more than the estimate, they found out that the other lady didn't include the blood work. So I paid more than I was expecting.
Otherwise, it's a great place for your pet.

FLAC was highly recommended by our previous veterinarian that was moving out of the area. Now with a rescued 11.5yo pitbull mix, we have visited three times over the last year and half. I have only worked with Dr. Mac and he is absolutely terrific. Very thorough and is never rushing. Supporting staff is great. Our pitbull mix can be somewhat protective but Dr. Mac handles the dog with ease. A great veterinarian practice

First off, I have to say Dr.Mac is the absolute best vet around. He takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions (which I always have) and my dog loves him. Dr.Mac and the staff has gone above and beyond to care for my dog during procedures, and the peace of mind provided was truly unmatched. I’ve been taking my dog here for 8 years and wouldn’t think about going anywhere else. The staff is always super friendly and everyone treats my dog as if it were their own. Super grateful for a vet and staff that truly care. Thank you FLAC

I have been coming here for 10 years with our previous dogs and now our sweet Benny. The staff always greet us with friendly smiles, they get you in an open room as soon as one is open, they treat you and your pet as if it were their own. I love it when they talk to my dog. Once in the room the Vet tech is amazing, she to comes in like every day is the happiest day ever. I sometimes see grumpy customers take on an entitlement approach, and they remain professionally sound listening to their demands. I applaud the entire staff for their customer service, attitudes and genuine caring. Dr. Small and( I forgot the other Vet's name,) she who is an absolute the most caring Vets we have ever had, and they get it right. Pictured is our last visit just weeks ago. Benny snoozing and then ready to leave.

My experience with Forest Lakes Animal Clinic was disappointing. My cat was not treated with the delicacy needed for his illness, so I elected to take him elsewhere. The vet techs were nice as well as the front desk staff, however the doctors seemed more focused on getting us out the door as quick as possible and not on the state of my cat. Tests that should have been done were not done and they did not seem to know how to help him. When I had taken him to the new vet and listed the medications he was taking, the doctor was shocked as one of them was typically prescribed for dogs as getting it into a cat, especially a sick one, is near impossible.
I’m not a veterinary professional and I know we’re all only human so mistakes are unavoidable. In my opinion if you’re looking to take your cat here, take them to Cat Depot Clinic or Cat Hospital of Sarasota instead. The vibe I got from this place was that they probably care for more dogs. Cats are a little more complex and depending on their case, need extra special care that this place might not be equipped to provide.
Unfortunately my cat has now passed. I do not put any blame on anyone from FLC as he just became too sick too fast but I feel as though I could have avoided wasting my money coming here if I read a review similar to the one I’m writing.
