I switched to Hyde Park Vet when we got our new pup in 2023, and haven't looked back. All of our experiences have been five star. My only "complaint" would be they are so popular that it can be tough to get in on short notice if your pet is sick. But the doctors and staff are wonderful.

Dr. Forhecz and the team at Hyde Park Vet are AMAZING - even my dog Annie agrees. First of all, as I know this is everyone’s first question…. Yes, they are affordable. All the services my dog received at our last appointment, and the appointment cost itself, were actually way less than I expected! You can tell they are fair and care more about making sure people can access pet care, than they do about just making an extra dollar.
They were able to get me in quickly, a few months ago, when I was in a serious emergency when it came to my dog’s seizures and needing recommendations and also medication management. One thing I loved about our experience, is the care they took to make sure it was low-stress for my dog. They made sure she had plenty of space both in the waiting room, and in the walk to the exam room, to not be near other dogs (as being in enclosed spaces with certain dogs can make her very stressed.) They took their time with her, even took care of getting her a few of her past due vaccines, made adjustments to the medication prescribed so that I could save money on an otherwise expensive prescription… more than that, Dr. Forhecz even took the time to write a very detailed email to me, after the appointment, to recap some recommendation for behaviors and supplements that would be awesome for my dog’s arthritis and also for preventing a 2nd cruciate ligament injury. My dog is thriving & has also lost weight with the help of the doctor’s recommendations. And today, when I realized I am out of my dog’s medication, they were more than happy to help expedite a new prescription.

Honestly terrible business model. I made an appointment for a new patient exam, took time off and everything only for them to cancel my appointment. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was very cutthroat and outright canceled my appointment with no remorse because I did not fill out my paperwork on time. I filled it out probably 2-3 hours prior to the appointment and then was not able to upload my dog’s history due to an error saying the file was too large. Even with this, not even a second chance was given to maintain my appointment and decided to fail it.

The paperwork that was filled only requested a few things which included pets name, allergies, any medical condition and etc. This should not take long to read and get up to par with the patients medical history.

I’d understand if I made a repeated offense by constantly no showing appointments or during the appointment fill out paperwork then I’d say okay fine I’m being disrespectful

Dr. Eisen and the rest of the staff are incredibly kind, gentle, and compassionate towards both Mimi and myself. The atmosphere stands in contrast to our previous vet. Oh, and their services are remarkably affordable, too!
