This is the very best veterinary experience one could possible have. Dr Doyens and his thoroughly competent staff take care of our 17, 13, and 5 year old dogs. Every single staff member is a warm and wonderful gem. And Dr Doyens carefully assesses my sweet furry kids and treats each as if she was his own. I couldn't ask for more. Love this practice and all onboard !❤️❤️❤️❤️

Manatee Veterinary Clinic took great care of my puppy, Liam! After days of him having an upset stomach, I called the clinic and they were able to get him in and get him all taken care of. The staff are great and I would highly recommend this place. Liam is now doing much better, thanks to the care he received!

Dr Doyens has taken great care of both Tommy and Charlotte! He is always very attentive to our concerns and thorough in his exams, providing excellent care. We’re so happy we found him when we had moved to Bradenton a few years ago.

Looks like I forgot to hit “submit” from our last visit, but our review remains as gracious as ever. We love Manatee Vet. They are a great team & our boy, Rudy gets the best care. Heading for our annual vet visit again tomorrow.
Old review:
We have been going to Dr Doyens for years. He & his team are wonderful! They are friendly, caring & professional. Dr Doyens takes the time to hear our concerns for our cat, Rudy who is in his final years, & gives us great options to help Rudy enjoy his elder years. Here he is still being a crazy cat in a box. So cute! Even his long hair has to be shaved. Manatee Vet is the best.

The best vet clinic. It’s hard to put into words what an excellent team this clinic is, so I will share my most recent experience:
- I recently had a cat reach her end of life point. This was my first time experiencing a cat with cancer. Victoria, Dr. Doyens, and even the receptionist, Karleigh, were there for me and my cat at every moment I needed them. Whether by phone call during business hours or email when I couldn’t sleep, they gave me the time and help I needed to help me keep my kitty as comfortable as possible while awaiting a diagnosis. Even just waiting to see the doctor was made better by Karleigh, and her simple advice on how to hold her to administer medication is what made it possible for me to administer medications and, during her final couple of days, give her her last meals. When I brought her in I was never forced to leave her side, I was even able to watch her get an X-ray on her first visit through the door to the room (other clinics have just taken my pets away for services like blood draws and imaging).
I was already impressed with the clinic after bringing in my other pets for annuals and sick visits, but this recent experience has cemented my opinion that this is one of the (if not THE) best vet clinics in the Bradenton-Sarasota area.
Unfortunately, the first time they met Yuki was under these circumstances. Because of that, I am including photos of her when she was healthy, so they can see just how adorable she was in her prime!
P.S the pricing is fair and reasonable, even with blood work, an X-ray, two surgeries and several prescriptions in the mix. I never left the clinic feeling like I was “robbed”.
EDIT:
I read some of the negative reviews and feel the need to share a little more.
1. My dog is a pit bull German shepherd mix. They are fantastic with her, despite her slightly nervous behavior at the vet. When it’s time for shots there’s usually two techs on either side of her and I’m able to pet her and talk to her instead of having to help hold her still. They all want to pet her but the staff stay respectful of her “personal bubble”.
2. Our pet frog got sick, they were not able to see him but recommended an alternative vet down the road. This vet was markedly pricier BUT very kind and professional, a great recommendation.
3. The cat I mentioned above, Yuki, had never been seen by the clinic. I had been seeing another vet in Sarasota but wanted to move to a closer clinic after moving to Bradenton. Initially, I saw a different Bradenton vet for what I thought was a simple infection. After a couple of days, her condition declined and she was approaching 24h of no food or water intake. I called the initial clinic and explained, and was told “we are short staffed” and to make an appt. for the following week. Even though Yuki was approaching 24h without food or water…. Anyways, I called Manatee Vet Clinic to see if they would find room in their schedule for her even though she’s technically a new patient. They found a slot for me that day. When I arrived, it was clear I was being fit in but that they were taking her condition and my concerns very seriously. They immediately got to work rehydrating her and, quite literally, bringing her back to life. Just hours prior to our visit she was hovering over food unable to take a bite before she hid in her carrier and began bleeding from her mouth. When I brought her home from this visit she was energetic and back to normal. She even leapt over her carrier to reach the food I was prepping for her.. she ate a full can of wet food (they provided me a couple of cans of a special nutrient dense diet to really make the meals count). I really can’t express how grateful I am for these people.

If I could, I would give zero stars. This veterinary clinic prioritizes profit over patient care, displaying poor communication skills. When questioned, the vet reacts with anger, as confirmed by the staff who mentioned “he has a short temper.” He couldn't control his frustration, resorting to slinging his arms up and storming out of the room. There is a lack of compassion for budget-conscious clients, and they frequently change the prices they initially quoted. I strongly advise staying away from this business, as it doesn't seem sustainable in the long run. I even felt compelled to apologize to the staff for having to work under such conditions, which is truly unfortunate.

The staff at Manatee Vet Clinic is extremely caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Doyens takes the time to explain things and listen to concerns. The entire staff went above and beyond to help my dog through a health scare. I am so grateful! Highly trusted and recommended!!
